Know Before You Go:
This trailhead starts directly on the road and is not well signed.
You’ll be treated to some views of the surrounding mountains before heading into the trees.
Be sure to download your offline map before heading to the trail, there is no service in this part of the park and the trail splits several times so a map may be handy.
There are definite signs of heavy bear activity in the area - carry bear spray and bells, hike in groups and stay alert at all times.
There is no bathroom at the trailhead but there is a pit toilet once you reach the lake at the top.
Purchase your pass or day-use fee before arriving. You can pay online or in person at any of the Kananaskis Country Provincial Park Centres.
