Know Before You Go:

• Sunwapta is a muli-tiered waterfall that runs through a twisty canyon.

• Not our favorite spot as the viewpoints are almost all partially blocked and getting a view of the falls is difficult.

• In summer the rivers runs a muddy brown color from all the glacial run off - this spot is best viewed in the winter or spring when the river is clearer blue.

• Parking here can be challenging as it gets quite crowded through the mid-afternoon.

• Skip this stop if you are short on time.
