Know Before You Go:
This is a very short, yet steep, hike that offers great views of the windward coast, specifically Kahana Bay, and the Ko'olau Range.
Bring micro-spikes if hiking after a rainy day to give you extra traction in the mud.
There are a couple assistive rope sections; gloves are not necessary but may help.
When you come to the fork in the path, be sure to keep left as this ascent is easier than the one to the right.
This trail is not maintained by the park and so is marked ‘closed’ but the trail is still relatively easy to follow. Proceed at your own risk.
