Know Before You Go:
This is a personal favorite ‘difficult’ Oahu ridge hike!
First peak is a breeze, second peak requires some upper body strength to hoist yourself up the rope.
Third peak is only recommended for the extremely adventurous as it is dangerous for non-climbers and technical.
We recommend doing the 1st and 2nd peak as an out + back on a dry day.
If you’re new to hiking in Hawaii, try another hike before attempting this to get acclimated to the terrain given the multiple microclimates and potential volume of mud.
Bring spikes if you are hiking this after a rainy day.
Park at the coordinates and walk 10 min to the trailhead; there is no parking right at the trailhead.
