The mileage total of this hike may seem daunting but the elevation gain is gradual, making this trail feel less challenging than others.
The first 70% of the trail climbs through beautiful forest and is mostly covered, the last 30% is very exposed so bring sun protection.
Amazing mountain and ridge views will greet you as you climb out of the forest.
There are no water sources anywhere on this trail, bring plenty of water with you. You will share the trail mostly with mountain bikers so keep an eye out for them and be courteous.
Enjoy beautiful wildflower displays here in the early to mid summer.
