Know Before You Go:
Be prepared to fight the crowds here - this is a very popular stop along the Icefields Parkway but parking is usually not hard to come by, aim for later in the day to avoid the height of the crowds.
During your walk be sure to stop and read the information placards along the path which explain how the waterfall was formed and the history of the area.
Keep a close eye on children and do not climb over the railings - this waterfall is extremely powerful and the surrounding rocks are always wet and slippery from the spray making the area dangerous. Several deaths occur here every year - don't be one of them!
