Know Before You Go:
This 7 mile long lake is the largest lake in Chugach State Park.
Hike or mountain bike the 13 mile Lakeside Trail or kayak on the lake for a family-friendly activity.
If you’re feeling up for a challenge, hike 8.5 miles up to Pepper Peak via the Twin Peaks Trail.
During the winter months, ice skating on the lake is allowed.
This stunning spot is less than an hour’s drive from Anchorage.
