Know Before You Go:
To park at the trailhead, turn off Sterling Hwy onto Stetson Circle and follow the road.
The trail itself may pass through a construction site as a highway is being built.
This hike is not highly trafficked yet overlooks the beautiful Kenai River.
Head to the top for a thigh-busting workout or stop and turnaround at any point as there are several viewpoints - the first is about 2 miles in.
Do not attempt this hike if you are not comfortable scrambling; this is not for the faint-hearted.
Hiking poles may help for the steep ascent and descent.
Even though the trail is accessible all year we recommend visiting May-Oct for optimal weather.
