  • Advanced reservations are required to visit, they can be made up to two weeks in advance or the day before here. (Beginning in May, reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance). Note: Hawaii residents are exempt from day use fees and reservation requirements with valid ID.

  • Do not miss this highlight on the Road to Hana! This gorgeous black sand beach is a great contrast to the Red Sand Beach nearby; be sure to stop there next.

  • Located in Wai'anapanapa State Park, which translates to 'glistening waters.'

  • This black sand beach was formed hundred of years ago by a lava flow. If you have extra time, hike the Wai'anapanapa Coast Trail North for additional scenic views of the coastline.
