Know Before You Go:

  • Certainly a must-do hike, this ridge trail brings you through a pine forest before opening up to expansive views of the Waihe'e valley and river.

  • You’ll be able to spot the 260 ft Makamaka'ole Falls in the distance during your ascent.

  • Trek carefully after a storm; this can be a very muddy, and therefore slippery, trail.

  • We recommend bringing hiking poles for extra support.
