If you aren't up for the whole 18 mi Desolation Trail, opt for this shorter version.
Unlike Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons, dogs are allowed in Millcreek Canyon so this trail is dog-friendly.
There are multiple switchbacks so be sure to bring traction devices during the winter months when there is snow and ice on the trail.
Stop by the Log Haven for a post-hike snack afterwards.
This is a great trail for viewing amazing fall colors.
