Know Before You Go:

  • A beautiful walk in the woods to a gorgeous lake that's great for paddle boarding and swimming.

  • This is a popular backpacking/camping spot since no advanced reservation is required.

  • Come early if you would like a spot in the lot but there is plenty of overflow parking along the road to the trailhead.

  • This trail can get especially buggy; bring DEET.

  • We recommend taking the lower creek route on your way in and the upper route on the way out, or take the lower route both directions.

  • The views continue to open up as you walk around the lake so be sure to follow the trail to the end point or close.
