This trail takes you directly to the base of Mount Olympus and Blue Glacier.
We recommend setting up camp at Elk Lake or earlier to avoid traversing the ladder portion of the trail with full packs!
Bear canisters are required here and bear sightings are frequent in peak season.
This trail can be done in as few as 2.5 days or at a more leisurely 5 day pace. The beginning portion also makes a great day hike along the river.
This trail can become quite muddy during the rainy season.
