A shuttle ticket is often necessary to enter the Zion Canyon portion of the park as private vehicles are not allowed to drive this road during the busiest times of the year, typically Mar-Nov. Check the Zion Shuttle Guide for a more accurate and up-to-date timetable and details on how to obtain a reservation.
Angels Landing is the second most popular trail in the park after The Narrows; arrival early to avoid large crowds and a long wait on the chains near the viewpoint.
Starting in 2022 a permit system has been implemented for this trail, all hikers from Apr-Nov will be required to have a valid permit to hike here. Details for the permit lottery can be found here - Angels Landing Permits.
Bring gloves regardless of the season.
If you are planning to hike during the winter months, bring micro-spikes.
